Privacy Policy — Prepaid Codes
Prepaid Codes is a Shopify app that creates and manages prepaid discount codes for the store that installs it. This policy describes what the app stores and how that data is handled.
Data the app stores
- The store’s
.myshopify.comdomain and the Shopify API access token for the installed store. - IDs of products the merchant marks as prepaid products, and the IDs of the discounts the app creates for them.
- The discount codes the app generates, and technical metadata about code-creation requests (counts, idempotency keys, timestamps).
Customer data
The app does not collect, store, or process any customer personal data. It requests no customer, order, or fulfillment access scopes, and it never sees shopper names, email addresses, physical addresses, payment details, or order contents.
Sharing
Stored data is used only to operate the app for the installing store. It is not sold, shared with, or disclosed to any third party. Discount codes are returned only to the store’s own authorized systems over authenticated HTTPS requests.
Retention and deletion
All stored data for a store is deleted when the app is uninstalled, and again on Shopify’s shop/redact notification. Shopify’s customer data-request and customer-redact notifications are acknowledged with no action needed, since no customer data is held.
